Daisy Toes

I always prefere to wear dark colours on my toes, I don't know why but i think they make them look a bit better than if I wear pale colours. The only problem is then, with darker colours it's harder to get off and stains the nail alot of time, so I have to put another dark colour on top to cover it up!

I made this picture bigger so you can see the little daisy's better, I think they look really cute! They were stamped on using a monster bundle plate

Green Leaves

I did these last night, I'm not 100% sure if I like them

I think they are too Autumn-y for my liking, especially as it's only August still :)

I picked them off while I was having a very stressful day at work, oops!

I used a No.17 polish for the silver, and the green is Nina Ultra Pro in Emerald City. I love this colour, Then stamped the silver nail with the leaves :)

Orly - It's up to Blue

I have just ordered Orly - It's up to blue off amazon.co.uk

I'm a bit disappointed that I can't seem to find them being sold in any shops around where I live. In the meantime I'll just have to stick with ordering off the Internet, but I'm so impatient, I hate waiting for post to arrive, I want it nooowww!!

Lime Green

Heres another photo of my second go at stamping. I think I can safely say I've got the hang of it now, I think I wasn't scraping at the right angle before, and pressing down to hard, so it was drying to quick.

More Flowers

Here are some flowers I hand painted over the top of my mum's acrylic nails :) She wanted something simple to match her toes and this is what I came up with

Stamping Sucess!

I have finally got the hang of stamping! It took me a few attempts but I think they look pretty cool :) They're are a few mistakes but I'll keep practicing

Lovely Pink Flowers :)

My boyfriends sister is off to V Festival this weekend and asked if I would do her nails for her.

We used her own caramel colour which was from Next, and I painted on top the pink flower design :)

More Polka Dots :)

I did these nails last night on myself, I originally had the Minnie Mouse design on but I started picking at it and it looked messy so I needed a change.

My left is alot better than my right hand. I haven't quite got the hang of using my left hand to paint the more intricate patterns yet but I'm working on it :)

Water Decals

I've ordered some water decals from eBay today. Both vintage flower designs. I've seen other people use them and they look great, so hopefully these will go a bit better than the Konad Stamping disaster.

I had another go at the stamping last night and I think I'm being too messy with it. I need to use less nail polish on the stamp to stop it smearing all over the place when I scrape it off! 3rd time lucky tonight! :)

Nail Wheel

Here is my first completed nail wheel! I love it, I spent most of the weekend completing the designs, it took forever. Now to start my next one :P

Fruit Nails

This isn't the best photo, but these are my sisters nails. I painted the ends in a coral colour, add glitter over the top and placed a Fimo Fruit piece at the side :)

Ruby

When I was doing my nails this weekend my mum's dog kept nudging me, so I presumed she wanted her's doing as well :)

Polka Dots

I did these for my mum at the weekend, she was going out for a meal and wanted nice toes :)

The polish is Nails Inc (I can't remember what the name was) with white polka dots on top, and random rhinestones placed over the top of some of the dots.

Minnie Mouse Nails :)

I did these Minnie Mouse inspired nails last night, I think they are my favourite so far :)

A simple French Manicure with red, white dots on top with a black line to finish off. Here's a close up of my thumb, I have put a black bow on it :)

Disaster!

So my stamping kit came in the post yesterday. I decided to try it out last night and it was a complete disaster! I kinda got half way there, it's definitely a practice makes perfect kind of thing. I'm going to have another try again tonight and see if I can be a bit more patient with it :)

In the mean time I've done myself a french manicure with lilac tips, a white line under each tip and a rhinestone on the side :) Love it.

Stamping Set

I have ordered a nail art stamping and I am sooooo excited about it. It's one that uses metal plates with cut out designs similar to Konad.

As soon as it arrives I'm testing it out on as many people as I can find :) Boyfriend included! :P

Half French Manicure

This is another design done on my own nails. It is less complicated than the others and so it didn't take me long. I used Nina Ultra Pro is Cherri Melon for the Pink and Opal Elegance for the glitter on top :) Finished off with a rhinestone at the corner!

Bumble Bee

I did this Bumble Bee design on my own nails. It was my first attempt at doing such a small design free hand, I got alot of compliments on this one!

So this is my first blog about my looovvee of nail polish :)

I've always enjoyed having my nails done professionally but since moving in with my boyfriend I have had to cut back on a few things and my nails was one of them. So I decided to start doing them myself!

I am currently studing for a Nail Technician Dipolma in my spare time at home and one of the modules was nail art. I have always been creative and decided that the usual flicks and swirls wern't for me. I wanted something a bit more adventurous :)
